A #WeToo-musical

Lokroep, a #wetoo musical, is a one-way trip to the merciless area between temptation and threat. A story that takes you to a sterile surgery room, to a coffee corner dripping with activism and to the studio of the most popular talk show in the Netherlands. Composed, written and performed by a new creative collective.

Lokroep aims to start a conversation about #MeToo that not only focuses the spotlight on perpetrators and victims, but also on the bystanders: the people who laugh along, the board members, the police officer who draws up the report, the 'wife of' and many other characters. Lokroep is about the complex system behind sexually transgressive behavior. A system that we are all part of in one way or another: hence, we call it a #WeToo musical.
